On the actual day, Cristian reached our hotel on time and took us to another route instead of the one we discussed a week ago. He considered the weather and terrain conditions and made calculated decision. He also planned the route in such a way that it’s easier to go up from one end and come down on the other end.

During the hike, Cristian would share with us information not just about Yangminshan but also on Taipei and even research for us the places we wanted to go. We had a few stops to take some breaks and he also took nice photos and video for us!

Our trip began in Taipei, we drove across the county up to Kenting (south of the island) visiting the Alishan at sunrise and then come back up to Taipei via Taroko National Park.
