Next we’ll proceed to Liberty Square, which houses the Chiang Kai-Shek Mausoleum and the grand National Theater and Concert Hall. Here, we will review Taiwan’s history again and, if we are lucky, witness the changing of the guard in front of the imposing statue inside the mausoleum.

Then, ascend to the heights of Taipei in the Taipei 101, one of the world’s tallest skyscrapers at 508 meters. From the observatory, you will enjoy 360º views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Inside, you can also see the world’s heaviest mass damper, designed to stabilize the skyscraper against natural forces, and the only one of its kind open to the public.

At midday, you can optionally enjoy lunch at Din Tai Fung 101 at the base of Taipei 101, famous for its dumplings, xiaolongbao, and high-quality Taiwanese cuisine.

End the day by exploring Ximending, Taipei’s most vibrant entertainment district, full of neon lights, trendy shops, pop culture, and nightlife, a favorite spot for young Taiwanese.

Meet in the morning at Exit 1 of Shilin MRT Station (Red Line) and take a bus to the famous National Palace Museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of Chinese art, with items covering 8,000 years of Chinese history. After visiting the museum, stroll through one of the traditional gardens surrounding it.

Then, visit the Lin An Tai Historical House, a traditional Taiwanese residence offering a glimpse into old Taiwan’s architecture, gardens, and lifestyle in a peaceful environment in the middle of the city.

Next, we will visit the Taipei Confucius Temple, where we will be surrounded by the serenity and silence offered by this temple dedicated to the most influential philosopher in Chinese culture.
We will continue to the historic Dadaocheng district, which has the highest concentration of traditional businesses in Taipei. Chinese medicine shops, spice stores, and places selling traditional clothing line the streets, although in recent years, new businesses have brought a modern touch to the neighborhood, allowing you to see small contemporary cultural centers and even avant-garde restaurants. Here, we will have the chance to visit places such as the City God Temple, the fabric market, or a famous tea house.

We will end the day in Zhongshan, a modern and stylish neighborhood in Taipei known for its specialty coffee shops, boutique stores, independent bookstores, and small bars with local charm. It is the perfect place for an evening stroll while enjoying the city’s relaxed atmosphere.
Alternatively, you can choose to finish the day at Huashan Creative Park, a former industrial complex transformed into a vibrant cultural hub with art galleries, design shops, creative markets, cafes, and exhibition spaces, making it an ideal spot to experience Taipei’s artistic scene before concluding the tour.
